Cancer Prevention through Dialogue
In our research project on the participatory development and implementation of a digital online dialogue platform for the transfer of knowledge on risk-adapted cancer prevention and early detection, we are working together with the Krebsinformationsdienst (KID), dem BRCA-Netzwerk e.V and the Bielefeld University
The inclusion of patients and relatives from cancer self-help organisations and the involvement of people from different areas of society offer the opportunity to focus more strongly on previously neglected formats and hard-to-reach target groups and to shape the communication process interactively and with the significant participation of those seeking advice. Accompanied by a qualitative and quantitative evaluation, the online dialogue platform is being developed, piloted, implemented and tested for its effectiveness. It integrates selected communication formats such as a live chat with doctors from the KID, which interested parties can use to find out more about the topic of familial cancer risk.
