HINTS Germany
More and more people are finding out about health issues on the internet and the understanding of roles in the healthcare system is also changing. This requires a higher degree of patient sovereignty, sound knowledge of health issues and the ability and willingness to inform themselves. With HINTS Germany, the Health Knowledge Foundation (SGW) and the Hanover Center for Health Communication at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Research (IJK) in Hanover are conducting the largest national data survey to date on the health information behaviour of Germans.
HINTS Germany is an adaptation of the established US ‘Health Information National Trends Survey’ (HINTS).
The Health Knowledge Foundation publishes the results of the HINTS Germany study at regular intervals in its trend monitors.
