Applying
Admission for foreign applicants
Admission to all programmes at the IJK requires a higher education entrance qualification (secondary school completion such as the German Abitur or the International Baccalaureate) and a certificate of German language proficiency at least at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
All courses are conducted in German; therefore, proficiency in German language is essential, and only applications in German can be accepted. Level C1 is equivalent to DSH-2 and TestDAF TND 4+5. If you have not completed the necessary exam by the application deadline, you may apply with a certificate for Level B2 and an official confirmation that you are enrolled in a language course and/or are registered for an exam.
